Today's episode on Redefining Medicine spotlights Heather Tick, MA, MD, CCFP, the first recipient of the prestigious Gunn-Loke Endowed Professorship of Integrative Pain Medicine at the University of Washington. Dr. Tick has served as an integrative pain practitioner for over three decades, while simultaneously researching and teaching as a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Washington in the departments of Family Medicine and Anesthesia & Pain Medicine. With a specific focus on self-care practices and long-term results, Dr. Tick continues to integrate functional medicine into her practice by educating both patients and other healthcare providers on the correlations between nutrition and chronic pain.
